I am Felicity Evans; graphic designer, web designer, marketing and social media consultant, wife — to Dave (of Dave will do it the handyman fame) — mother (of teenage daughter and son) and resident of the Blackwood area since 1999 and Mitcham district since 1986.
Art and design are in my blood — I come from a long line of graphic designers, and despite fighting the genes and graduating with a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design and dabbling in Lighting Design the genes won through and I turned my skills to graphic design.
I enjoyed several years as an agency freelancer, working in several of the major advertising and design firms around Adelaide eventually securing the Senior Graphic Designer role for International Franchisor Cartridge World.
In 2008 I was presented with an opportunity to branch out on my own and I grabbed it with both hands! Creative Minds was born.
Since then I’ve enjoyed working with disability-led, religious and not-for-profit organisations, small businesses, big businesses, franchises and everything in-between. Each brings their unique challenges and inevitable frustrations, but I really enjoy being instrumental in developing each one of them. Please take a look at my portfolio and remember me if you — or someone you know — could use my services! You’ll find my website here.
My passion for small business and finding new and interesting things has led me here to Neck of the Woods. I want to discover and share my neighbourhood’s gems and help them to grow too.
I love cooking, a glass of good wine, listening to music (particularly jazz or classical), family camping trips, catching up with friends, wandering around interiors shops, reading other blogs and I’m a complete magazine-aholic … just ask my daughter!
I’m a member of St Peters Lutheran Church and believe that my faith creates a firm foundation for the roller-coaster of life.
I’d love to hear from you, so please join the conversation, or drop me a line here and tell me about a local identity, business or location you think I’d enjoy and would be great to share with others.
